Since April we, Mark and Lindsay. have been working hard in conjunction with the youth advocacy organisation 2410 and the youth football development organisation Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) to get the first Young Africa training course off the ground.

Thanks to a lot of hard work from everyone, we are ready to start training in June, with twenty students already recruited in advance. The training will take place on the BUSA premesis in Bauleni, a high-density compound just on the edge of Lusaka which currently has very little in the way of affordable training opportunities. Each young person taking the course will be granted an International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) profile and will complete the four base modules and tests. ICDL is a qualification which will give these youth internationally recognised skills in computer essentials, online essentials, word processing and spreadsheets. As part of the Young Africa Integral Youth Empowerment Programme they will also receive Life Skills and Entrepreneurship Education.

We are raising funds to go towards the costs of training youths in this valuable course. With more funding we can reach out to even more young people, potentially reaching 160 people by the end of 2017. Donate to the project here:
