Evans Phiri

Meet Evans Phiri (22), an automotive mechanics graduate from Skills2Live, Lusaka, Zambia, class of 2023. Raised by his uncle, a mechanic, and with a mother struggling to find stable domestic work, he overcame significant challenges, including malnutrition.

Training through Skills2Live transformed his life. After graduating, he secured an internship at Jan Japan, a well-known automotive company, where he gained practical experience and developed essential industry skills. He turned this opportunity into a full-time job and is now supporting his family.

And there’s more. Evans has recently been selected to train and work in Japan. What a journey for Evans!
